Matsés Trip - Touristic

10 Days
18+ Age

Level of Difficulty:

Travel to a Tourist Maloca located on the Loboyacu River. Currently, this Maloca is managed by young Matsés, who bring their elders from Remoyacu and Buen Perú communities in order to show visitors their traditional culture.

The Matsés reside in a remote jungle area on the border between Peru and Brazil. The local communities included in this itinerary, Buen Peru and Remoyacu, now experience a steady influx of tourists.

This itinerary includes flights in and out, with the possibility of postponement by the operator due to weather conditions. It is advisable to allocate extra days after your program.

For those seeking a more immersive experience and the opportunity to visit an authentic, non-touristy Maloca, we recommend our alternative offering—the 8-day Matsés Exploration.

  • Transfer from Iquitos Airport.
  • Land and river transportations included in the itinerary.
  • Air ticket from Iquitos/Angamos/Iquitos.

  • In the event that the flight used in the expeditions is postponed, Amazon Explorer will not take charge of your stay in the city of Iquitos, nor will you receive any type of refund for the days lost.
