  Our programs are designed for those seeking an authentic experience based on learning, exploration, and direct contact with nature and local communities.

• Can Amazon Explorer´s itineraries be adapted to my needs?

  Some of our itineraries include activities that can be adapted to the traveler’s preferences, as long as this does not affect the program schedule or the experience of other participants.

  If you would like a fully customized experience, we recommend requesting a private expedition, which involves an additional cost.

  Survival and challenge programs cannot be modified, as they require a specific structure and participants must be in optimal physical and mental condition.

• Where do you spend the night during the expeditions?

  During our expeditions, participants stay in camps or in traditional houses of local communities, depending on the itinerary and scheduled activities. These accommodations are simple but provide essential comfort, offering an authentic rainforest experience.

  Amazon Explorer does not provide lodge accommodations.

• Is it necessary to have previous experience in the jungle?

  No, prior experience is not required to participate in our expeditions. All of our trips are designed for travelers with varying levels of experience, from beginners to more seasoned adventurers.

  Our professional team provides guidance, instruction, and support at all times, ensuring safety and comfort during hikes, boat rides, and jungle activities.

  However, it is recommended to be in good physical condition and follow the guides’ instructions, especially on more remote or challenging expeditions, to fully enjoy the experience and minimize risks.

• Are there discounts for groups or early bookings?

  Yes, we offer discounts for groups, with larger group sizes receiving greater discounts. 

  For more information on how to avail these discounts and any specific requirements, please contact our team.

• If I am alone, can I make an expedition or do I need to join a group?

  It is possible to organize an expedition for an individual; however, the rate will be 70% higher than the group rate.

  We recommend checking our booking calendar to join a group and take advantage of a more economical price.

• Does Amazon Explorer guarantee wildlife sightings?

  Our expeditions take place in primary rainforest, ecosystems of great biological richness where Amazon Explorer has conducted biological inventories documenting a wide variety of species.

  However, it is important to note that wildlife sightings depend on several factors, such as weather conditions, the season, and the traveler’s willingness to actively participate in the exploration activities or outings recommended by the Tour Leader. The more exploration activities you take part in, the greater the chances of encountering animals in their natural habitat.

  Wildlife behavior is inherently unpredictable; therefore, sightings cannot be guaranteed. Nonetheless, by exploring protected areas or remote regions of the rainforest, the likelihood of observing wildlife is significantly increased.
